Funding Commitment for the Geoff Heath Lochiel Park Par 3 Golf Complex

I am pleased to announce that a Coalition Government will commit $3 million to fund the construction of a new clubhouse at the Geoff Heath Lochiel Park Par 3 Golf Complex. This project will bring vital upgrades to this important facility and help unlock new opportunities for both golfers and the wider public, ensuring that it continues to be a key hub for our community.

The new clubhouse will replace the current building with enhanced facilities and a dedicated community space that will better serve the needs of the public. The plans for the new clubhouse include a co-located café with an outdoor undercover deck and a new pro shop service point. The café will be a space for golfers, families, and visitors to relax and connect. It will also include flexible dining spaces with moveable walls to accommodate a range of events and group sizes.

Incorporating modern amenities, the new clubhouse will feature upgraded accessible toilets, as well as dedicated change room facilities. Dedicated parking for golf carts and bicycles will be provided, along with additional car parking spaces to meet the needs of the growing number of visitors. A new mini-golf area will also be included, offering families a fun and engaging activity while they enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Lochiel Park.

The project will also see significant landscaping work undertaken, which would include the planting of new plants and trees and an upgrade of the pathway connecting the golf course to the Linear Park Trail.
