How to Vote by Post

The Federal Election will be held on 3^rd May 2025. Don’t forget that voting in the Federal Election is compulsory, however you can vote before Election Day.

More and more Australians are voting by post each election. It is quick and easy to apply online at the Australian Electoral Commission’s website, and your ballot papers will be sent to your nominated address from 22^nd April. You then simply fill out your ballot, as per the instructions, and post it back in the envelope provided.

If you are overseas and wish to apply for a postal vote it is imperative that you complete your application as soon as possible to provide the best possible opportunity for your postal vote pack to arrive to your overseas mailing address in time.
