Second Creek Pollutant Trap Upgrade

Second Creek Pollutant Trap Upgrade

26 Nov 2021

Since being elected, we have secured a $450,000 investment in partnership with the City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters and Green Adelaide to deliver improvements to the Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) at the outlet of Second Creek.

At the election, I committed to taking action on environmental issues through practical design and policy implementation. This project will make significant contributions to this by improving recovery, recycling and clean-up of waste in my electorate. The innovative design will capture an additional 206 tonnes of gross pollutants and benefit threatened and migratory species reliant on healthy waterways.

The installation of the stormwater outlet from the GPT is complete with the stormwater culverts and concrete walls the next step in construction.
