STURT BUSINESS RECEIVES $295,596 GRANT TO PROVIDE CRITICAL DEFENCE CAPABLITIES

The Morrison Government has awarded a $295,596 grant to a Sturt business to enable them to scale-up their own capacity to support the ADF’s most important capabilities.

Member for Sturt James Stevens MP congratulated The Dynamic Engineering Solution on receiving a Sovereign Industrial Capability Grant. This grant enables the business to enhance its ability to test military land vehicle suspension parts.

Sovereign Industrial Capability Priority Grant funding will be used to fund the purchase of capital equipment, designing and constructing a test rig for military-grade land vehicle suspension components in a controlled environment.

“The Dynamic Engineering Solution are not only providing highly-skilled jobs for Sturt locals, but they’re also playing an important role in keeping Australians safe,” Mr Stevens said.

“By investing in our defence industry’s small businesses, the Morrison Government is supporting the future growth of our industry, and creating opportunities for more businesses to take part in our record build-up of military capability.”

Minister for Defence Industry, the Hon Melissa Price MP, said the grants were another way the Government is supporting local industry through the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Australia’s defence industry will play an essential role in our economic recovery, so these investments in our small businesses are more important now than ever,” Minister Price said.

James Stevens MP said grant applications can be made at any time through the Centre for Defence Industry Capability.
